This memory type is often found in systems that demand high bandwidth, such as graphics-intensive computers and gaming consoles. One of the key advantages of RDRAM is its ability to deliver consistent performance across multiple memory modules, thanks to its direct Rambus channel design. However, despite its speed benefits, RDRAM faced challenges including higher latency, increased cost, and complex heat management, which limited its widespread adoption.
